Micropenis is a medical term for a condition usually discovered in infants through a new-born examination. As the term suggests, micropenis refers to an abnormally small but normally structured penis. The condition is caused by hormonal or genetic abnormalities.In men, an SPL (STRETCHED PENILE LENGTH) of 3 2/3 inches or less indicates a micropenis. The average SPL for adult males is 5.25 inches.

Measure length from the base of your penis to the tip of your glans( head of penis). The base of your penis is where it is attached to the skin. Compress any fat in front of your pubic bone when measuring. Also, don’t include additional length related to a foreskin. Measurements are taken in FLACCID AND ERECT STATE.

Measure girth around the base or the middle of the shaft IN BOTH FLACCID AND ERECT STATE. Clinicians however use the concept of Stretched Penile Length(SPL) which is the maximum length of the penis while stretched, measured from the base of the penis, under the pubic symphysis to the tip of the glans and is thought to approximate erect penile length within 10%.

According to a survey published in BMC WOMENS HEALTH, women reported that PENIS WIDTH was more important for their sexual satisfaction than penis length. The results were statistically significant.There are a number of reasons why penis width could be described as more sexually satisfying by women. First, the width of the penis at the base may be more stimulating to the clitoris. The researchers also suggest that a wide penis gives a woman a greater feeling of fullness and is therefore physically and psychologically more satisfying.However,intimacy, empathy and a deep understanding of what turns your partner on is equally important for women. So it’s important to have a good relationship with your partner and to know what she likes or dislikes.

The internet is awash with websites selling everything from pills to penis extenders that claim to increase the length and girth of your manhood. Here is the truth about these ways of increasing penis length –

Pills and lotions – Despite their impressive claims, there’s absolutely no clinical evidence that these products work and some may even be harmful. The University of Maryland in the US carried out an analysis on some of these and found traces of lead, pesticides, E. coli bacteria and animal faeces. “They’re a complete waste of time,” says Professor Wylie.

Vacuum devices – Penis pumps involve placing a tube over the penis and then pumping out the air to create a vacuum. The vacuum draws blood into the penis and makes it swell. Vacuum devices are sometimes used in the short-term treatment of impotence. But overusing a penis pump can damage the tissue of the penis, leading to weaker erections.

Penile extenders/Penile Traction Devices – This technique involves placing a weight or a small extending frame, on the flaccid penis to stretch it for 4-6 hours per day for a period of 3-6 months. There’s no clinical evidence that using weights will extend the penis, and they may sometimes cause permanent damage.

Jelqing – Jelqing is an exercise involving repeatedly pulling the flaccid penis using the thumb and index finger, with the aim of increasingerection size. But there’s no scientific evidence to suggest Jelqing can increase penis size.

Liposuction – For men with a large tummy, liposuction, a surgical procedure to remove fat below the abdomen, can make their penis look larger. Removing excess fat around the pubic area can make a partly buried penis appear more prominent. Liposuction can result in a 2cm gain in length in the short-term, but the fat will return to the pubic area if the patient puts on weight again.

PENILE ENLARGEMENT SURGERY – The surgery can result in an average gain in length to the flaccid penis of 1-3cm, but there will be no change to the size of the erect penis. The width can be increased by the use of FAT, FILLERS, GRAFTS etc. in the range of 1.5-2 inches. At IASH, a very high quality DERMAL GRAFT is used for penile girth augmentation.

Penile enlargement surgeries are becoming very popular in last few years. More than 15000 surgeries are done in one center in UK. Another center claims up to 10000 such surgeries in Korea. There are a number of centers performing such procedures as the demand is high but only few are doing it with very high quality implants and with the required expertise.

Penile Enlargement Surgery is a day care procedure that includes penile enlargement, lengthening, glans enlargement, premature ejaculationsurgery (if required) at once. The surgery requires only one visit and is done within a day.

When patients visit our clinic, you will fill out a form and meet our consultant who will explain everything about the procedure. You can ask as many questions about the surgery as you wish to. We will speak to you as to what kind of expectation you have in mind for penis enlargement and is it realistic or not.

Everyone’s penis size and shape are different. So the degree of penis enlargement possible will totally depend on the patient’s individual anatomy. Having said that, the length of the penis can usually be increased between 1 cm to 3cm in its flaccid state, and in its erected state the length is not affected. Width can be increased by 2-3cm in both the flaccid and erect state.

Depending on the patient, the penis enlargement procedure takes around one hour to complete. Patient will have LOCALanaesthesia, so there will be no pain during the surgical procedure. For post-operative pain management, some painkillers will be prescribed.

For 48 to 72 hours after the penis enlargement surgery, the patient is asked to take a course of antibiotics and some painkillers to suppress the inflammation, pain and minimise the risk of infection. During this time the patient takes medication to suppress erections so that the grafts and sutures don’t dislodge during the healing process. Patients are required to refrain from smoking for a month after surgery, as healing and recovery is inhibited and the chance of wound breakdown/infection is greatly increased in smokers. This can be explained to you in greater detail during your initial consultation.

Following the widening procedure, the penis will become red and swollen. Recovery can take up to six weeks. However, there are no issues going back to daily activities.

After the penile lengthening procedure, a small wound at the base of the abdomen is the only evidence of surgery. This wound heals quickly and is well disguised by the pubic hair.

During all types of recovery, patients should refrain from sex for at least six weeks. If post-operative instructions are followed, including two weeks of bed rest, recovery will not be painful in most cases. Bandaging is removed after one week and the sutures dissolve by themselves. Patients are typically back to their normal lifestyle in four to six weeks, although the tissue may not fully return to normal for none to 18 months after surgery.

Patients will have a small scar on the lower abdomen after penis lengthening. For dermal substitute grafting, scarring fades between one and three years depending on the type of graft and donor site.

Results of penile lengthening are usually permanent.

Both penile enlargement procedures (lengthening and/or widening) are generally of low risk and carry with them the general risks associated with any type of surgery, such as infection and bleeding. There is typically no interference with function, sensation, erection or urination.

Retraction is rare, but can occur as a result of normal scar contraction, which is managed by post-operative scar stretching exercises. Not performing scar-stretching exercises properly may result in permanent loss of some or all of the extra length gained at the surgery. In very rare circumstances, a natural excess of adrenaline production may cause the penile to shrink.

We will inform the patients with the post-operative care so that patients can care for themselves at home. Some of the post op instructions are:

• Urinate sitting down and avoid any urine to the gauze.
• Shower is allowed from the 3rd date from the surgery if the incision is attached by Derma bond.
• Shower is allowed from the stitches removal date (14th date from the surgery) if the incision is attached by stitches.
• Recommended to wear a tight underwear.
• Sterilize once a day and exchange the gauze once 2-3 days. Immediately exchange the gauze if a contamination happens. Do not forget to wash your hands clean before the sterilization and exchanging the gauze.
• Drinking, Sexual Activities, Sauna, and Exercise are allowed from one month from the surgery.
• No smoking for 2 weeks from the surgery.
• Wear the gauze for a month to keep the shape and reduce the swelling.
• Enough sleep, exercise and a balanced diet are important for fast recovery.
• Pelvic floor rehabilitation exercises as taught by our expert rehabilitation specialist.

Blood or some medicine in urine can be seen but a little amount is a normal symptom.

Discomforts when urinating can happen for a while.

Painful when erected for one to two months from the surgery.

Swelling or bruising can happen and a scab around your glans can be formed but will disappear eventually.

Penile might look short or bent and not fully erected for a while but it goes back to normal eventually after full recovery.

Full recovery takes 6 to 12 months but it depends on each individual.

Blisters or discharge from a wound can be seen for a while but it’s temporary.

Yes, circumcision is a mandatory in order to proceed any of the penile enlargement surgery. Both the penis enlargement surgery and circumcision can be done at the same time.

Our theatres are Modular with HEPA Filters which are recommended by NABH in order to minimise infections during surgeries. The chance of any penile implant infection varies but is usually between 0-5 percent. The chances are further reduced if a NO TOUCH TECHNIQUE is employed for surgery.

If the graft gets infected, we will remove it and give your penis a thorough wash with antibiotic solution and place a new graft inside.

All are patients who undergo Penile Enlargement surgery are given a very realistic expectation of what to achieve from surgery based on their current health status, their lifestyle and their pre operation penis measurements. We only proceed further once the patient understands the expected outcomes, its risks and post-operative care instructions.

Consult with the Sexologist or Andrologist in India and get a medical visa invitation letter from them, intimating that you will be having medical treatment in India with them. Submit this invitation letter in indian embassy to get a medical visa.

The Medical Visa is valid for almost a year or the total time span of the treatment. During this time you are allowed to visit India multiple times.

A certifying statement from the hostile govt accredited hospital in India, that the stay needs to be extended for surgery, cna help you extend your stay on medical grounds.

The graft thickness and length for the surgery is decided pre operatively based on what patient wants from surgery, his current penile length, penile girth, presence of suprapubic fat and presence of other comorbidities. So usually this is not required but if patient wants another one we can remove the previous one and insert a much thicker one.
